March 6, 2013 - Michael B. Neal obtained a Summary Judgment for his Insurance Company client in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee at Knoxville.

A real estate developer insured by Neal's client was sued on tort and fraud claims arising from a large real estate development. The insured developer elected to defend the case for several years before going Bankrupt. In spite of the fact that the Plaintiff successfully lifted the developer's bankruptcy court protection and pursued a direct action against the insurance company, Mike Neal convinced the District Court there was no basis for the direct action against the company. Accordingly, the Distrcit Court granted summary judgment in favor of Neal's client. Michael B. Neal is admitted to practice in all three United States District Courts in Tennessee and has successfully litigated insurance cases in all of them.
